Bridge to Employment

The Bridge to Employment team wanted to reimagine how their website looked, felt, and functioned. This meant examining how their users experience the website and highlighting their work in a more concise way. The result is a website that organizes the content in easily navigable ways, as well as a design that reflects their storied legacy.

Challenge

To redesign and reconfigure the BTE website to be an experience that supports the mission of helping young people build bridges to brighter futures through postsecondary education and elevated career paths.

Design Solution

I led the digital team on creating a visual hierarchy with interchangeable components that made the content easy to find and accessible to a wide range of audiences. I also spearheaded a technical system redesign to make the Wordpress system easy and intuitive for the web content team to update the site through customized core modules.

BTE bounce rate

After launching the new BTE website, the analytics immediately saw a significant drop in the bounce rate. Every interaction was considered a chance to reinforce the Bridge to Employment brand and tell the story of progress.
